Exchange and Returns Policy

We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with your purchases.  If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return or exchange eligible products within 7 days, subject to the conditions outlined below.  After 7 days, any manufacturer warranty still applies.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Products with packaging opened, except where products are faulty and must be exchanged
  • Downloadable software products

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Please do not send your purchase back Bitrate without first informing invoices@bitrate.co.za of:

  • reason for the return or exchange
  • the product being returned 
  • provide a proof of purchase 
  • provide details of the person and/or entity returning the product
  • confirm trackable shipping & insurance for the return of the product
  • confirm our return address with our finance team

Note:  You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping and insurance costs for the return your product. 

There are certain situations where only partial returns and/or exchanges are allowed:

  • An item within a kit that is faulty
  • Part of a kits packaging that has been opened
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your return or product exchange.

If approved, we will contact you and discuss the outcome of the returns decision, and whether it means a refund and/or a product exchange. 

Where a refund is approved and agreed, refunds will be processed using the original payment method with 15 working days after approval of the refund and where the required information to process the refund has been submitted, validated and approved.
